Turning Point Farm

At Turning Point Farm, we provide riders of all ages with safe and fun riding instruction. We pride ourselves on taking the time to teach proper horse care to all of our students. It is important to remember that while some of our fun moments may be on the backs of our companions, some of the most special are alongside them.

 

At Turning Point Farm, our lessons are based on the teachings of the United States Pony Club. As part of your lessons, you will be taught and required to properly groom, tack and cool down your mount, and take care of your lesson tack and equipment. 

 

We offer English riding lessons. Our trainers have a varied background including Eventing, Dressage, Mounted Games and more. We are an active barn that will allow you or your children to participate in many fun activities. We participate in many off-site events including USEA Area 1 events, hunter paces, MGAA (Mounted Games Across America) competitions, Pony Club rallies, events and field trips, and local area horse shows. 

 

 

Lessons Options at Turning Point Farm

 

Introductory/Evaluation Lesson- 30 minutes $25

 

Private Lessons (45 minute)

                                            $50 (own horse/shareboard)                                           

  $60 (TPF horse)

 

Group Lessons- 60 minutes

 

Group lessons are organized by level. Any new student must take an introductory lesson to be evaluated. Riders must be able to steer their horse without assistance in order to ride in a group. There is a $10 ring fee for ship-ins.

Lesson packages are sold on six week terms. Each package includes 1 lesson per week and 30 minute monthly unmounted activity at no additional charge. Lesson packages are available for 30 minute private or 60 minute group.
